Five Core Values

We are a body of believers that view our gathering times as a celebration and a chance to S.E.E. (strengthen-envision-encourage) each other, while we learn to minister out in the community. We are committed to the Lord and to learning what it means to be a loving family. We are an apostolic training center, where everyone is being trained to display the heart and nature of Jesus Christ, and find their ministry roles within that framework. These are our mandates.

1 Intimacy with Jesus...
Everything we do is birthed from this identity. This is our number one priority. At Christ the Rock, we devote much of our energy, efforts and time into promoting a lifestyle of intimacy with the Lord and His people, both individually and corporately. It is our constant drumbeat and the center of all we do. We constantly seek to provide intimate encounters with the Lord, and provide opportunities for people to develop a deeper walk with Jesus. We desire to reflect this lifestyle, and teach it through example. When enjoying the Lord's presence, our ultimate goal is:

"to listen to Jesus MORE and to talk less"

2 The Body...
We are body builders. Our outreaches, ministry, mission trips and teaching reflect this. Some fellowships take on the identity/personality of evangelistic centers, others are seeker sensitive, and some are focused on ministry to the poor, while others are program driven. While we seek to be well rounded, and exhibit all of the above mentioned ministries, our primary purpose is to strengthen the body of Christ, first through building up the believers in this local fellowship (equipping them to minister), and then by extending that ministry to the community, to our region and to the nations. We are accomplishing this through writing, teaching, giving (time and resources), counseling and ongoing fellowship with other ministries and ministers and also through hosting events for the greater body of Christ - both here and out in the community.

3 Prophetic...
We are a prophetic ministry. Therefore, we are encouragers! We continually teach and mentor God's people to become a "prophetic people." Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice." We always search for innovative ways to disciple the Lord's people, to become both "hearers" and "doers" of the Lord's word. We train, activate, and release the body of Christ to minister to the body and to the world. We believe leaders are simply equippers... while God's people are the true ministers. We are always looking for opportunities that provide God's people a chance to minister, first in safe (small group) venues, while they are learning... then in riskier (more public) venues as their confidence grows.

4 For Freedom's Sake...
The really "good news" of the gospel, is that salvation can touch EVERY area of life. Our goal is to minister to the deeper life of the individual. We desire for the Lord's people to walk in complete liberty, and the fullness of the anointing. As people become free, they also become able to fulfill their God given destiny. While it is true that "healed ministers heal," we also find that "wounded ministers wound." People certainly can receive a portion of their healing as they serve others, but it is important for believers to be "in process" on their road to recovery as they are doing so. Salvation must touch every area of our lives, even the deep issues of our souls; otherwise, these issues of soul can blockade the anointing as we try to minister. Our priority is raising-up healed leaders, so that those leaders will more effectively bring this message of freedom to their community, their region and ultimately to the world. We have materials and classes available for those desiring this deeper life.

5 Missions...
We are a short term mission training center. Our doors are open to full time missionaries as well, that are in relationship with us, and are coming off the field for training, rest and fellowship. We take short term teams to the nations. We financially support missionary endeavors. We are in the midst of building a physical training center to meet these needs. Our doors are open, and we, as a fellowship, host the nations whenever possible. We seek to display Jesus, "the Desire of the Nations," wherever we travel. We promote the building up of the Body of Christ in love, and work to connect other diverse parts of the Body together. We often bring other ministries and ministers with us on our travels, whenever it seems beneficial... either for mentoring purposes or to increase diversity, unity and deeper relational connections. We have asked the Lord, and He has given us "the nations as our inheritance."
