Text Box: Kim and Mary Andersson pastor Christ the Rock Fellowship in Anderson, California.  They are a powerful team.  Kim is a gifted teacher who through humor and prophetic insight encourages and builds up the Body of Christ.  Mary’s ministry in personal prophecy and teaching impart a deeper desire for intimacy with Christ.  They frequently speak at seminars, mission’s conferences and retreats.  Kim and Mary also travel internationally several times per year, bringing prophetic teams with them, to minister encouragement to pastor’s, leaders, and their congregations at conferences, churches and Bible colleges.  Kim has been an advisor for Woman’s Aglow for ten years as well as affiliated with MorningStar Fellowship of Ministries in Charlotte, N.C., which was established by Rick Joyner.    Sermon: I Samuel 30:6b “But David strengthened himself in the Lord His God.”   Based on this passage and Ps. 143 Nine ways to encourage yourself in God:  1. Get away with God to remind the Lord of your situation. 2. Acknowledge what you truly deserve, but appeal for mercy. 3. Be painfully honest with God, He knows anyway. 4. Rehearse where God has been faithful to you in the past. 5. Draw and pull on God’s presence with praise. 6. Remind God of your desperate need for Him (and the answer) 7. Commit to God your willingness to change. 8. Affirm in your heart your trust in God until it’s real. 9. Whatever the outcome will be, yield yourself to God’s hand and faithfulness.   Remember:  Just before the breakthrough of God’s ultimate promise for David was his lowest point of testing.
